Trust Levels
Trust levels determine what users can do on the forum based on their engagement and activity. Below is a breakdown of the requirements for each Trust Level (TL) in our community.
Trust Level 1 (TL1) - Basic User
To reach TL1, a new user must:
Enter topics â Visit and engage with a minimum number of topics.
Read posts â Read a set number of posts.
Spend time reading â Spend a minimum amount of time reading posts.
TL1 users can:
Reply to topics
Post new topics
Send private messages
Trust Level 2 (TL2) - Member
To reach TL2, a user must:
Enter topics â Engage with more topics than TL1.
Read posts â Read more posts than TL1.
Spend time reading â Read for a longer duration.
Visit the forum â Visit on multiple different days.
Receive likes â Earn a minimum number of likes from other users.
Give likes â Give a set number of likes to others.
Reply to topics â Actively participate in discussions.
TL2 users can:
Do everything TL1 users can
Edit their own posts
Use forum features like tags and minor moderation
Trust Level 3 (TL3) - Regular
To reach TL3, a user must meet requirements within a set time period:
Visit regularly â Visit a minimum number of days in the last set period.
Reply to topics â Engage in discussions by replying to topics.
View topics â View a percentage of all topics created in the period.
View posts â Read a percentage of posts created in the period.
Read a minimum number of topics/posts â Meet overall engagement metrics.
Give and receive likes â Actively participate by liking and being liked.
Avoid excessive flags â Maintain a good reputation with minimal flagged posts.
TL3 users can:
Do everything TL2 users can
Flag posts with stronger impact
Gain additional privileges (as defined by the community)
If TL3 activity drops below requirements, users may be demoted back to TL2.
Trust levels encourage meaningful participation while keeping the forum organized and safe.
